Over the past two years we've made remarkable gains in Virginia. High-profile legislative victories like the Virginia Clean Economy Act in 2020 and Clean Cars in 2021 played pivotal roles in accelerating the move to a clean grid and stepping up the pace of electrified transportation. Now we need to defend those wins. New state data polling shows plenty of good news for clean energy, but it also indicates that the November elections are going to be really close.

The headline-grabbling Governor's race between McAuliffe and Youngkin is deflecting attention from the critical fact that all 100 seats in the House of Delegates are up for grabs this fall. Republicans only need to pick up 6 seats to flip the chamber. They've set their sights on rolling back the VCEA and Clean Cars and, frankly, the Senate (divided 21-19) can't be counted on as a firewall.

Funds raised during this event will be used to support Virginia House allies who (A) voted yes on the VCEA, (B) yes on clean cars, and (C) are in competitive races. We will be joined by Del. Rip Sullivan, Chair of the House Democratic Caucus, as well as Delegates in competitive races, schedules permitting.

Note: To maximize COVID safety, this event will be held entirely outdoors. All attendees must be fully vaccinated or wear a mask.
